100 Passengers for the Frontiers of Space by Joseph Mohr is a role playing game supplement published by Old School Role Playing for use with Cepheus Engine. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.
The supplement is available as a 22 page Pay What You Want PDF from DriveThruRPG. Two pages are the front and rear covers, three the front matter and three the Open Game License.
The opening paragraphs explain that all sorts of people travel in the Frontiers of Space for all sorts of regions; those who lack starships of their own but are worried by the dangers of low passage pay for better travel, and many ships have rooms available for such. These passengers are suitable for medium or high passage.
GM Note explains that this is a spinoff from the one for 1001 Cargoes.
Passengers is the rest of the supplement. They lack weapons unless they have them in their description, and should have appropriate luggage. Each passenger is named, given stats and a brief description of who they are and what their motivations for travelling might be.
100 Passengers for the Frontiers of Space in Review
The PDF lacks bookmarks and has only a few sections so these are not needed. Navigation is okay. The text maintains a single column format and appeared to be almost free of errors. Bar the covers, there are no illustrations. Presentation is okay. Bar the covers, there are no illustrations. Presentation is adequate.
The supplement has 100 random NPCs that the characters could encounter, either asking for passage on their own ship or on any other ship they encounter. Or, in many cases, the NPCs could be encountered in other places, especially starports. This is a useful collection of NPCs, some of whom could be the source of problems, for most settings. 100 Passengers for the Frontiers of Space can be found by clicking here.
