#1 With a Bullet Point: 7 Tendril Tentacle Spell Feats (Full Clip!)

A Review of the Role Playing Game Supplement #1 With a Bullet Point: 7 Tendril Tentacle Spell Feats (Full Clip!)

#1 With a Bullet Point: 7 Tendril Tentacle Spell Feats (Full Clip!) by Owen K.C. Stephens is a role playing game supplement published by Rogue Genius Games (originally Super Genius Games) for use with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. As such, it is covered by the Open Game License and some parts are considered to be Open Game Content as a result.

The supplement is available as a four-page PDF from DriveThruRPG for $1 but was purchased at a reduced price as part of a bundle. One page is the front cover and one Open Game License and credits.

#1 With a Bullet Point: 7 Tendril Tentacle Spell Feats (Full Clip!)The first page has some standard text for the #1 With a Bullet Point range explaining the philosophy and what the supplements contain.

The High Concept explains that this is intended to give spellcasters more options with tendril spells; the description makes it clear that there are more spells like this than might initially be thought. Not just black tentacles, but animate plants, animate rope, entangle, shifting sand, snare and web. There may be others.

Agile Tendrils allows a tendril to manipulate objects that are unattended or willingly given, and use them in a manner similar to an unskilled character using one hand.

Choking Tendrils allows a creature already entangled or grappled by the spell to be choked.

Defending Tendrils allows the caster to designate creatures for the spell to ignore, and defend one of their choice.

Disarming Tendrils can grab items from others, like a Disarm or Steal combat manoeuvre.

Disturbing Tendrils can be used to threaten an entangled or grappled creature in an attempt to demoralise them.

Forceful Tendrils can be used to push creatures around.

Harassing Tendrils function like a Dirty Trick or Trip combat manoeuvre on targets that are not grappled by the tendrils.

The PDF lacks bookmarks and at this length doesn’t need them. Navigation is fine. The text maintains the old three-column landscape format used by Super Genius Games and appeared to be free of errors. There are a couple of pieces of black and white stock art. Presentation is okay.

As The High Concept makes clear, these feats are more useful than might be thought from the supplement’s name. They add new options for such spells, making them more potent for a caster with these feats. Though Disturbing Tendrils seems less useful. #1 With a Bullet Point: 7 Tendril Tentacle Spell Feats (Full Clip!) is a decent collection of new feats and it can be found by clicking here.
